A visit to the Wisconsin Dells won't be complete without a journey to Noah's Ark Waterpark, as it is America's largest facility dedicated to aquatic fun. Though it is only operational during the summer, the lack of an indoor adjunct only lends to the sense of urgency to discover this place on vacation. Your expectations won't be met with disappointment, as its eighty attractions spanning from mat slides to wild tubing rides will be up to the challenge.

Free Fun Guides : The Water Parks of the Wisconsin Dells

One of the main draws to the Dells area is the huge variety of water parks. It can be tough to choose exactly which one to visit, but Noah's Ark is the largest in the United States and a huge draw for families. Check out more about the park here.

Chicago Parent : Your Family Guide to Wisconsin Dells

We spent the whole day here. There are so many attractions to entertain anyone. It was disappointing that some of them were either closed or not operating at their full capacity. After discussing later, I'm sure they were not able to staff everything due to the employment shortage. We rented a Cabana and thought it was worth every penny. It gave us a place, guaranteed, to go back to and rest for a bit. We kept dry towels and sunscreen there. We will definitely come back, if the opportunity presents itself.

It's a great place with amazing water rides, half the park is closed so that sucked and of course fatties like me have issues with rides and of course I was too big for several of them unfortunately including the raja witch was a huge disappointment considering it was the one ride I wanted to go on while I was there but that's what I get for enjoyed those cheeseburgers 🍔 😂😂 otherwise it was great, staff and lifeguards were so friendly and helpful. Only thing I will say is it could use a little more for the younger water goers lol but they have the tadpole bay witch my kids loved and they have an amazing wave pool like one of the best I've been in!

Great place for the whole family. Very clean ,staff was professional and fun. Lines were a little long at peak time but there is plenty to do.

This place was a blast, great fun for the entire family. They have pools, water slides, roller coasters, go karts, and kiddie rides. They also have the normal theme park foods as well as a dime in restaurant, bars, candy store, and gift shops. Lines are long but not as long as great America.

Awesome place to go to during the summer, but not so much after Labor Day. Indoor waterpark have less things to do especially for lil kids. Nice staffs.

I went last summer and if you're thinking of going this year, just don't waist your time or money. Every line to each attraction was ridiculously long. The wave pool, which is literally huge, had people in it standing shoulder to shoulder. There were absolutely no free chairs. I get that places can be busy but there should be a standard for how many people can even buy tickets for the day when there's that many.

The malls of days past conjure up images of crowded food courts with a number of national chains serving up quick meals. This was because most people didn't go to a mall to eat. It was never the main purpose, and therefore, was a bit of an afterthought.

Leisure Group Travel : Top 8 Places to Eat in Mall of America

Absolutely worth it! Don't be fooled that because it's a mall you'll have to spend money everywhere you go. But if you are treating this as a destination you should come with the idea of doing some experiences and enjoying your time even if you're not a shopper! If you have a family there's basically an amusement park in the very Middle where you can buy a pass to do all the rides and it's well worth it because the weather is always great indoors!

This mall is huge and have many stores also a place for the kids. A lot of walking I will say, parking is simple and free. The food options are great, they also have vegan options. This place is not crowded which is a plus. This is a place for kids and adults so give it a try.

Living so close to the mall...we visit here very regularly. Sometimes it's a quick stop...for either a particular item...or...a meal. Other times...we can easily spend the day here...shopping...going on rides...seeing a film...just browsing. It's been interesting to see it adapt...and...change over the years. Obviously...there is an insane amount of variety to be found...everything from clothing...to dining...to top-notch entertainment choices...and...then some. There really is something for everyone. Also...the fact that Minnesota doesn't charge tax on clothing...or...shoes...is a huge draw for people. There is plenty of free parking all around the mall. You can always find a spot...no matter how crowded it is. There is also a newly-remodeled transit hub with both city bus...and...light rail service onsite. Many local hotels also provide shuttles to...and...from both the mall...and...the airport. Several hotels are within walking distance to the mall...with two being directly attached. The mall is a place that we will always come to because...it's in our backyard...and...we love it.

Oh my goodness!! Thought we'd stop for a little bit, ended up there for 2 hours!! Amazing place, lots to see!! Great to see the preservation of the buildings and equipment of days gone by!! Take your time, Enjoy!

We stopped by during our trip to the national parks. We are so glad we did! What an awesome place! Very rich in history and artifacts. If you enjoy history or just want to learn more about what it was like "back then", you will definitely want to stop here. It also has lots of memorabilia, artifacts and pictures from the movie Dances With Wolves. Just a great visit!!

The round barn with all the exhibits for "Dances with Wolves" is very well maintained and is the highlight of the visit. Once you enter the rest of the town, it starts to get a little disappointing. There are many buildings that are in need of restoration. More interpretative panels explaining the history of the building would be nice. The Saloon was awesome, you could explore the upstairs area and it had music Old West Music playing. Some of the other buildings had mouse droppings everywhere that made them smell and some structures are rotting and it felt unsafe walking on them. However, other buildings were displayed much better with accurate artifacts in them. Would be neat to have some actors around the town in costumes interacting with visitors. If you do enjoy old artifacts, check this place out. But if you're looking for a lot of hands on and interactive activities, this would not be an ideal stop.

Minuteman Missile Visitors Center

Visitor center

Sights & Landmarks

Visitor center with Cold War exhibits at 2 Great Plains ballistic missile control centers.

Slide 1 of 2

South Dakota is the setting for one of America's most incredible top secret projects: a field of 150 Minuteman II nuclear missiles, armed and ready for launch at a moment's notice during the Cold War. In the 1990's, the whole site was unarmed and preserved for future generations to visit and learn from as the Minuteman Missile National Historic Site; it's currently the only National Parks System unit dedicated to Cold War history.

Roadtrippers : Here's why Badlands National Park is one of America's greatest national treasures

In the 1960s and '70s, a thousand Minutemen II intercontinental ballistic missiles, always at the ready in underground silos spread across the Plains, were just 30 minutes from their targets in the Soviet Union. The missiles have since been retired (more modern ones still lurk underground across the northern Great Plains). The first national park dedicated to the Cold War preserves one silo and its underground launch facility.
